How do I allow to use e-mail while Internet is blocked?
If you are using an e-mail software like Outlook, Outlook Express or The Bat, please follow these steps:
- Launch Surfblocker, click Exceptions.
- On the Allowed Services tab, make sure that the E-mail is checked.
- On the Allowed Programs tab, click Auto Detect.
- Close all programs that use internet.
- Click Start Learning Mode.
- Launch your e-mail software, receive e-mail and send one message too.
- Click Stop Learning Mode in the auto detection window.
- Review the list of items that were detected and click Allow Selected.
If you are using web browser based e-mail system like Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, please follow these steps:
- Launch Surfblocker, click Exceptions.
- Click to open Allowed Sites tab.
- Add the web site address of your e-mail service.
- Many sophisticated web based e-mail services consist of multiple pages with different addresses. You will need to repeat the previous step to add all the addresses involved in checking e-mail.
- Click OK to save settings.
To allow Hotmail, you must allow following sites:
- hotmail.com
- msn.com
- live.com
To allow Yahoo Mail, you must allow following sites:
